COUPLE CELEBRATE 64TH ANNIVERSARY

With sons and daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Edward T. Duso celebrated the 64th anniversary of their marriage Thursday at their home, 72 Lake street, Saranac Lake.

The many friends that the elderly couple have made during the 46 years of their residence in Saranac Lake joined in honoring the couple. Mr. Duso is 87 and his wife 82.

It was a bright spring day in Jericho, Vt., that Minnie E. Johnson became the bride of Edward Duso on May 17, 1870. They continued to live in Jericho for several years before moving to Morrisonville in Clinton county.

Mr. and Mrs. Duso went to Saranac Lake 46 years ago. For many years Mr. Duso was known throughout the Adirondack area as its outstanding band master. He was employed as a carpenter at the Branch and Callanan mills in the village for 30 years until the time of his retirement nearly 10 years ago.

12 great grandchildren were present at the celebration.
