Henry Fleury was a caretaker at Camp Colby. He was a son of Louis and Ellen Lacosse Fleury, and a brother of Ida Brush.

Henry Fleury, caretaker at Camp Colby, the State Conservation Camp at Lake Colby for 12 years, was guest of honor at an affair held at the camp recently.
Mr. Fleury has been caretaker at the camp since before it was purchased five years ago by the Conservation Department. The camp was previously owned by the William Morris family. Ronald Wilson, director of the camp, honored him with pictures denoting important events in Mr. Fleury's life and made Mr. and Mrs. Fleury honorary members of Camp Colby by presenting them with conservationist certificates.
Also attending the event were Mrs. William White, a member of the Morris family; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Irving, conservation educator and supervisor of conservation camps in New York State; Mr. and Mrs. Greenleaf Chase. (Mr. Chase is regonal game manager); Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Fleury of Constable and other friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fleury, of Lake Colby, have returned from a three-week stay in West Palm Beach. Their sons, Wayne and Don, who with a construction crew of 17 men, are laying cable for the Telephone Co. are in that area and their families joined Mr. and Mrs. Fleury and while they were there. This is a two million dollar job that the boys are doing being with the Onontary Construction Company of Syracuse. They like the climate so well, they have bought property and expect that at some time in the future they will settle in Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Fleury have a mind to do likewise, but just for the winter months as Mr. Fleury says, “I love the Adirondacks too much to stay away long.”
