The 1910 U. S. Census has Malato teamster John W. Morhous (32), Mary A. (31), Kathleen F. (7), and Marshall W. (5) living in Saranac Lake Village on Morhous Lane. The Al Gardinier family (with a son Leonard (15) is the entry just above.

John Morehouse, 82, Dies In Saranac Lake
John Morehouse, 82, died yesterday morning at 9 o'clock at the Saranac Lake General Hospital where he had been a patient since November 6.
Born May 15, 1878, in Vermontville, he was the son of Elizabeth and Warren Morehouse. He was the widower of the former Mary Hazard, who died eighteen years ago.
Mr. Morehouse is survived by one son, Marshall, with whom he made his home at 180 Broadway. He has nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The body is reposing at the Fortune Funeral Home where there will be a service at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. J. Reginald Butt officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.
Mr. Morehouse lived in this area all his life and worked as a laborer until the time of his retirement.
