Lester Leroy Spencer was born in Malone, the son of Arline Spencer; he moved to Saranac Lake in 1954 with his family and attended Saranac Lake schools.
He worked at Ethel's Diner for many years. He was known for playing guitar in local bars.
He moved to Dover Plains and then to Vero Beach, Florida, and later retired in Fort Myers, Florida.
