Towner-Hutchins.

The marriage of H. Ford Towner, of Saranac Lake, and Miss Madge Hutchins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hollie Hutchins, of Constable, was solemnized at the home of the bride Christmas day. The ceremony was attended only by relatives and near friends of the young couple. The bride is one of Constable's favorite daughters and the groom is one of Saranac Lake's more estimable young citizens, director of Towner's Orchestra, and a valuable member of the corps of C. L. Sherrill. The young couple have a large and ever increasing circle of friends who wish for them a happy wedded life. Mr. and Mrs. Towner will reside in Saranac Lake.—Adirondack Enterprise.

Mrs. Towner 90 years old

SARANAC LAKE — Thirty relatives helped Mrs. Madge Towner celebrate her 90th birthday on Sunday at the summer home of her son, George, and his wife, Thelma, on Kiwassa Road.

Eight branches of the family, covering four generations, were present.

In addition to her son and daughter-in-law, local residents present included Mrs. Towner's grandchildren, Nancy, Stephen, and Carolyn Thomas; and former residents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Russell of Mohawk. Mrs. Russell is the former Jean Hutchins of Constable.

Mrs. Towner moved to Saranac Lake from Constable in 1904. A year later, she married H. Ford Towner and has made her home here since then. She is a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Rebecah Lodge.

Her late husband was the long-time manager of the original A & P store in Saranac Lake and of the subsequent A & P store.
