Dr. William Spencer Schwartz, known as Spencer, appears frequently in group photographs of Saranac Lake medical practitioners, for example, in the 30th Session of the Trudeau School of Tuberculosis in 1944, where he was apparently teaching. He was pictured in a meeting at Sunmount Veterans Administration Hospital in Tupper Lake on September 10, 1959, representing the VA Hospital in Oteen, NC. He is buried in Portsmouth, Ohio.
