SARANAC LAKE - Thomas L. Pandolph, 57, of 36 Church Street, died Sunday, March 22, at his home.

He was born April 21, 1929, in Saranac Lake, the son of Charles W. and Elizabeth (Robins) Pandolph.

Mr. Pandolph was a resident of Saranac Lake for most of his life. He was a 1953 graduate of Paul Smith's College, where he majored in forestry, and later moved to New Jersey and operated a tree-trimming business. He moved back to Saranac Lake in the early 1960s, becoming a partner with his brother, Chuck, in Chuck's Bar for 10 years.

He was a ticket agent at the Adirondack Airport in Lake Clear and the Clinton County Airport for more than 10 years, until becoming disabled in 1984.

Mr. Pandolph was a member of the Elks Lodge #1508 and the VFW, and was a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Peter A. Ward Council in Bloomingdale. He served in the Coast Guard during World War II.

He is survived by a daughter, Tara Pandolph, and a son, Thomas D. Pandolph, both of Saranac Lake; a brother, James Pandolph of Kendall Park, N.J. and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the Fortune Funeral Home. A Bible vigil will take place at 7:30 p.m., with the Knights of Columbus in attendance, and a veteran's service will be conducted at 7:45 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bernard's Church.

Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery in May. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
